We are looking for a pro-active and organised individual to join our busy Retail Gift Aid team and ensure the smooth running of our Retail Gift Aid scheme.

In this role you will be instrumental in…

  • Ensuring updates of Retail Gift Aid procedures and documentation to be used for processing and maintaining accurate Gift Aid records and financial audit trails, (whilst ensuring they meet HMRC set rules and guidelines).
  • Making sure Gift Aid policy and procedures are followed correctly in the shops working closely with the Profit & Compliance team.
  • Providing information about Gift Aid policy to shops and central team when requested, in a proactive manner.
  • Working closely with selected teams in CRUK to ensure that all Gift Aid systems and processes meet HMRC requirements and are complaint in terms of the recording, logging and claiming of Gift Aid
  • Deploying Gift Aid claim process including mailing/email list creation from the database and detailed testing. Instigating donor refund process with donor and finance when required.
  • Undertaking audits/testing of all Gift Aid claims prior to submission, ensuring compliance levels are achieved in line with HMRC guidelines.
  • Carry out data cleansing processes including the organisation and management of corrections
  • Resolving all enquiries by phone, email and letter including complaints specific to the Retail Gift Aid scheme.
  • Supporting the National Retail Gift Aid Executive in development of written copy to donors and weekly actions to shops, whilst taking on bespoke communications as needed.
  • Supporting the continued development of the technology including testing and monitoring of change requests
  • Developing of ad hoc reports for both field and central operations to both support income growth and drive cost efficiencies across Trading.
