The Team The Management Accountant plays a key role within the Financial Accounting Team based in London. The team is responsible for providing a range of internal accounting, budgeting and financial reporting services to London and wider consolidated accounting and reporting services to the Norton Rose Fulbright EMEA business as a whole. This position reports to the Senior Finance Manager. Role Tasks include (but are not limited to) the following: Allocation and reconciliation of monthly overheads and management charges to teams and offices within EMEA region and provision of support to the monthly production of KPI results. Preparation of monthly WIP movement for EMEA offices Assist in preparation of London Office cost budget Maintenance and reconciliation of partner unit and remuneration schedules Preparation of fee earner bonus calculations for HR Department Assist with the preparation of annual cash-flow budgets and production of monthly statements and explanations for cash-flow variances to budget Assist with the preparation of statistical benchmarking surveys and analytical review of result Provide input and support to the firms' strategic SAP implementation and other improvement initiatives, specifically around cost allocations, KPI reporting and budgeting processes Assist in the preparation of the monthly London office management accounts. Review detailed trial balance and make corrections where applicable Work with London office Finance teams to reconcile and review Balance Sheet positions. Correct any errors Review EMEA headcount data, liaise with local offices to ensure completeness Provide support to London Accountants as and when required Project ownership Support to ad-hoc analysis work and other tasks as required Skills and Experience Required Finalist / Qualified accountant Relevant work experience within a similar role Experience of working within a large organisation (professional services is desirable) Self-motivated and self-disciplined in meeting key deadlines Strong numerical, analytical and reporting skills Good communication skills MS Excel SAP experience including use of BPC High levels of computer literacy and competence Good problem solver and methodical approach At Norton Rose Fulbright we welcome receiving direct candidate applications via our careers page.
