The Team The Global Architecture team, headed by the Global Chief Technology Officer, works in line with the global IT plan to deliver operational excellence and enable the use of technology for growth across the whole firm. The team is responsible for defining IT governance and standards, as well as a roadmap for future technology adoption across the global firm. The Role The SAP Solution Architect is focused in the planning and design phases of an implementation of an SAP business application suite as well as quality assurance and advisory throughout their lifecycle. In addition to this the role will also be leveraged on strategic corporate initiatives such as business process improvement initiatives and developing ongoing architectural governance processes. Review as-is processes and create the target operating model and the high-level to-be process model. Design the high-level solution design based on process requirements, application and system landscape. Evaluate requirements, map them to business processes, functional and solution architectures and ensure a proper implementation from a solution architecture point of view. Design detailed end-to-end to-be processes. Identify the appropriate end-to-end solution portfolio options and recommendations. Identify solution gaps and develop gap closure options. Design the end-to-end functional landscape and solution design, including the functional integration points, applicable standards and governance. Provides leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria. Ensure adherence to project management methodology practices, provide team coaching, evaluate the performance of team members and reinforce the enterprise knowledge management through the collection and communication of lessons learned. Develop knowledge of the strategic and operational issues of the Global IT and identify a clear vision of what determines a successful solution for the Firm. Any other reasonable duties requested by the Global CTO. Skills and Experience Required General experience: Significant experience in process implementation in roles related to SAP Solution Architect topics with specialist expertise. Proficient understanding of SAP solutions and of the consulting business processes and functions. Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change. Ability to negotiate consensus amongst diverse groups and impact the activities of others not in own reporting structure. Conceptual analytical thinking and decision making skills. Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience and competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior management, clients, peers and team members. Technical experience: Strong applications specific solution consulting in SAP Business Suite family, with special focus in at least one of the following areas: Professional Services, Customer Engagement or Finance. Advanced Expertise in at least one (Digital) Business Transformation topic: BPM, Enterprise Architecture, Organizational Change Management, Value Management, , Innovation Management, Strategic Roadmaps, Cloud Transformation, TCO, Digital Transformation, Internet of Things (IoT) Advanced knowledge of: SAP Product Portfolio (on premise and cloud solutions, S/4HANA) / SAP standard solution and service offerings SAP Next Generation solutions and services (e.g. S/4HANA, Fiori (Mobility, UX), Cloud) Industry Solutions (in related functional area) SAP Product Roadmap (in related functional area) Management and Leadership Experience: Cultural awareness and experience working across different cultures and nationalities Coaches/mentors less-experienced colleagues Strong leadership and people management skills are desirable Experience of leading in a matrix organization without formal authority is a plus
