Olympus Corp of the Americas, Job Description Waltham, MA - The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for managing supply chain across multiple sites. The incumbent is to lead and/or manage the supplier negotiations, selection and plans and implements activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, components, equipment, services and supplies necessary to the business. EOE Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled Job Duties: * Provide data driven analysis of the company’s production material requirements and suppliers’ performance for on-time delivery and quality. * Implement strategic purchasing policies for supplier selection, supplier base optimization and material procurement and techniques. * Identify Critical and Strategic suppliers and conduct quarterly business reviews. * Establish high quality, competitive cost sources for material, services and supplies. * Collect, manage, analyse and report reliable sourcing data in a timely manner. * Manage EOL and Obsolete inventories to minimize financial impact to the business. * Negotiate strategic supplier agreements and purchase order terms and conditions. * Hire, lead, motivate and develops staff. * Manage material supply to NPI projects ensuring delivery in accordance with the project plan. * Support Corporate and Local policies and processes. * Drive and support the Lean Sigma strategy for continuous improvement. * Maintain responsibility for budget preparation and execution. * Bachelor’s Degree is required. * Minimum of 5 years supply chain experience to include a minimum of 3 years of material purchasing experience and 2 years in leadership role is required. * Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment is preferred. * Strong leadership and decision-making abilities are necessary. * Functional knowledge of supplier processes are essential. * Strong knowledge of MRP systems, Quality and general business processes are necessary. * Strong negotiation and relationship building skills to influence and affect results are preferred. * Must have expertise in hands-on purchasing of material and outside services. * Must have business sense and an understanding of business finance. * Attentiveness to detail with strong data analysis skills are essential. * Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary. * Must possess excellent problem solving ability, creativity and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. * Must be self-motivated; work well independently and as part of a team.
