My client is looking for a Regional Operations Manager to support product and system specification verification/design approval including application (i.e. mode of operation against customer requirements and site conditions), construction site readiness and on‐site sub‐contract works for new sales orders against agreed customer requirements.
They are looking for someone with door automation, installation and commercial experience.
Responsibilities and challenges:
  • Support product and system specification and application verification i.e. the generation of clean orders in terms of  EN16005 to facilitate safe delivery of quality entrance solutions, on‐budget, on‐time, first‐time, every time.    
  • To provide technical support to colleagues, sub‐contractors and customers in relation to all aspects of AAES products, applications and installations.    
  • Attending pre‐order meetings etc.    
  • Manage on‐site sub‐contract works against agreed customer requirements, contractual obligations, quality standards and budgets.    
  • To provide on‐site and over the telephone installation support to sub‐contractors.    
  • Support customers, colleagues and sub‐contractors where necessary to overcome problems.    
  • Manage on‐site sub‐contractor environmental, health and safely compliance.    
  • Measure and maintain sub‐contract works/installation quality standards via monthly site Quality Checks.    
  • Monitor and report product quality issues/concerns and highlight improvement opportunities.    
  • To support post‐installation handover as and when required.    
  • Support and potentially lead where necessary resolution of snagging/handover disputes in order to facilitate on time cash collection and mitigate DSO.    
  • Maintain sub‐contractor training matrix and performance scorecard details to ensure legal compliance and professional competence.    
  • To line manage and support our Installation Engineers.     
  • Source and approve our sub‐contract workforce.    
  • Work as part of a team, working to customer timescales and deadlines.

  • Technical knowledge and experience of DA and RD products    
  • Installation experience of DA and RD products    
  • Able to prioritize issues based on business impact    
  • Able to understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics    
  • Able to lead a manage sub‐contract works and labour    
  • Excellent communicator and influencer    
  • Detail conscious and able to work under pressure and to timelines i.e. time conscious

Flexibility Required    
  • Required to support evening and weekend installations when required   
  • Required to live out 2 nights a week were required  
 
Physical Demands    
  • Heavy lifting and material off loading    
  • Working at heights using ladders, podiums/scaffold and MEWPS    
  • Required to drive long distances and work inside and outside in diverse conditions    
  • Required to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, kneel, stoop, crouch and crawl  
 
Experience 
  • 3-5 years in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering 
  • 3-5 years in Door Automation 
  • 3-5 years in Construction Site Methodology 
  • 1-3 years in Project Management   
  • 1-3 years in Commercial Management 
 
Qualifications
 
Essential: SMSTS, CSCS
Desirable: PASMA, EN16005, HNC, CAD, Prince 2 Project Management
