Job Description:

My client is a well-established, leading supplier of high quality construction products, specialising in various sectors of the construction industry including design, manufacture and installation.  Situated in East Anglia they manufacture high quality precast concrete flooring and stairs.  Due to expansion they seek a highly motivated Estimator to join the team
 
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Estimator’s main responsibilities will include:-
  • To contact our clients either by phone or email to obtain accurate information about their precast concrete flooring and staircase requirements from initial enquiries received.
  • Evaluate drawings/information received and produce an accurate mark-up of the project.
  • To produce a quotation within the sales department about the project in order to increase the likelihood of securing the project for production.
  • Monitor the workload and prioritise your time in consultation with the Sales Manager.
  • Update our internal database/CRM system.
  • Carry out other tasks and duties as reasonably requested by the management of Milbank.
 
Key Skills:-
  • Previous building industry estimating experience preferable but full training will be given.
  • A high level of computer literacy is required with a good working knowledge of computer packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage.
  • Excellent English, written and oral communication skills, organisational skills, good time management and a sense of urgency.
  • A confident and professional telephone manner is essential along with attention to detail.
